Zimmer® Power-Mix Vacuum Cement Mixing System
The Right Blend of Advantages The Zimmer Power-Mix Vacuum Cement Mixing System is stirring up traditional vacuum mixers with its fast, convenient setup and ease of operation. Manually mix by using the ergonomically designed handle, or power mix by using the optional reamer attachment. The innovative, self-contained stirring element does not have to be removed before injecting the cement. This not only eliminates an extra preparation step, but also the related hassle and mess. The Zimmer Power-Mix System is a disposable, sterile kit consisting of a clear mixing cartridge for better visibility, a funnel, base, break-away nozzle, obturator, vacuum tubing set, and an ampule disposal bag. The system thoroughly mixes and delivers cement in the same device, eliminating the need for separate syringes, bowls, and tubes. The mixing cartridge is easily loaded into the Power-Flo® Bone Cement Injector.

Add cement components, powder first.
Thread cap assembly to mixing cartridge until tight. ENSURE THE CAP IS TIGHT AND TAB ROTATES PAST BOTH LOCKING EARS ON THE CARTRIDGE.

Position mixer upright, or at a 45° angle. Mix cement by turning handle RAPIDLY in a CLOCKWISE motion or by using optional reamer attachment. Mix cement thoroughly (minimum one minute).
Remove vacuum tubing set.
3 Remove handle from cap assembly to access reamer connection.
Connect vacuum tubing set. When vacuum is activated, vacuum indicator will collapse.

Recommended reamer speed range: 180-315 rpm.

Unscrew blue cap and pull to remove.
Attach nozzle. Snap at score line to shorten.
Load cartridge into injection gun. Fill nozzle in vertical position. Must use PowerFlo Bone Cement Injector.
