Lauren Cecora Our sister Lauren's new book on post-partum depression was released for sale recently! Her journey will undoubtedly reach and help many other women. Congratulations Lauren! You have truly 'sought understanding so that you might gain true wisdom', and we are so proud of your courage in passing that wisdom on!
July Event: Brew Bike! Thursday July 27th at 7:00pm Join us for an evening of fun as we explore the downtown brew scene, while simultaneously getting in a good workout! IMPORTANT: ZTA is not renting out the whole bike, so you will need to purchase your individual ticket! They are $25.00; refer to the email for further instructions on how to purchase. The meeting location is 1519 19th St., Sacramento, CA 95811.

Jordan Mrozek Jordan recently put her wine passion to good use and decided to 'learn things that would ever enrich and ennoble her life' by getting her Introductory Sommelier certification! If anybody ever needs assistance picking out a bottle or wants recommendations for where to go in the area, she's your girl!

Creed Highlight Introduction to the Creed It is so crazy to think about how many different places our members come from, and how different our college experiences must have been! But, as Zetas, there are a few things that are consistent so as to bind us all to each other, from coast to coast and generation to generation. One of these things is the Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha. Written by Shirley Kreasan Strout and adopted by the 1928 ZTA Convention, the creed outlines all of the things we should strive to do and be as Zeta women - to be true to ourselves, to be steadfast and strong, to look for the good in everyone, etc. We all had to learn this creed before we could become initiated members, and in some way or another its words have likely guided your journey through ZTA and through womanhood. This year we are going to spend some time looking back at the creed, isolating and exploring certain lines, recognizing sisters that exemplify these ideals, and creating programming events that allow us to practice living it out. Every month we will highlight a different line, and in this part of the newsletter we hope to feature some different sisters discussing what that part of the
“'Remembering always....Love, the greatest of all things'" creed means to them. In the events calendar you can see the line highlights for each month, so if anyone feels called toward a particular line and would like to write a little blurb about it for the newsletter, please contact me! My hope is that by the end of the year, (even if we still can't recite it word for word!), we have a greater understanding of our creed and appreciation for that part of our history. I'm excited to go on this journey with you, and I look forward to growing closer with you all as we explore this together! ZLAM, Jordan

While we spend some time celebrating the ties that bind us in Zeta Tau Alpha, we also want to celebrate our differences and explore what ZTA looks like among different colleges and different parts of the country! To be featured here, please send us an email at [email protected] answering the following questions: • Where did you grow up and what university did you attend? What was your ZTA chapter name? • What was your collegiate experience like? Is there anything that sets your chapter apart from other ZTA
chapters? Any unique traditions or philanthropy/sisterhood events? Any favorite memories? • What hobbies or accomplishments DON'T we know about you? Can be a collegiate brag or something
in your current life, such as your profession or personal honors. • Include a picture of you in your college days if you can!
We will begin featuring members in next month's issue so get your answers in!
