The End Is Coming Daniel 11:36-45

Questions for further study: 1.

Compare the “king” of Daniel 11:36-45 with the “beast” of Revelation 13:1-10 and the “son of lawlessness” of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12. Many scholars believe each of these depictions describe the Antichrist. What similarities do you see between the descriptions and the events surrounding the Antichrist?

2.

Read Revelation 19:1-21. How is Jesus described in this passage? While the Tribulation is happening on earth, what is happening in heaven according to verses 1-9? What is the fate of the beast, who is the Antichrist? How does it change the way you face challenging times knowing that Christ will reign victorious?

3.

One of Pastor Bob’s suggested Next Steps involved the generous investment of your resources to that which will last for eternity. Which of your resources do you sense the Holy Spirit encouraging you to invest? How might you give more time? What skill do you have to contribute? Whom do you need to start helping financially? Where can you wield your influence for the Kingdom?

4.

Second Peter 3:11 says that because the end is near, we should live holy and godly lives. Is there an area of your life that isn’t holy? How do you need to trust Christ more in that area so He can transform you? Make your answer as practical as possible.

A

Consistently trust Christ to transform my life

B

Diligently live a prayer, care, share lifestyle

C

Generously invest my resources (time, skills, finances & influence) in that which will last for eternity (people & God’s Word)

Memory verse: Since all these things are to melt away in this manner, what sort of people must we be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness, while waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God? (2 Peter 3:11–12a NET)
