Three More Dad Chaperones Needed! We need three more super duper Dad Chaperones as soon as possible for our first Immersion Trip of the year. We will be heading to Hidden Villa for a Ropes Course and Land Lab on Tuesday through Thursday, September 27-29. The cost for Chaperones is $75 and you must be cleared in everything in order to go. Participating in this trip does not affect your lottery chances for the remaining trips. Please call or email Ms. Tatjana at [email protected] if you are able to go. Book Review by Clara H. Cinder by Marissa Meyer I like this book a lot! It is kind of like a twisted, more interesting version of Cinderella. There was a lot of action and I had my nose stuck in this book the whole day.

Advanced Language Arts Advanced Language Arts curriculum signups are starting now. 8th grade students may earn a recommendation for Advanced Language Arts placement in High School by participating. Signup forms are available to students for the asking, but sometimes they need a little helpful persuasion from homes. If you have any questions about Advanced Curriculum for Language Arts, please contact Mr. Thomas at [email protected]. Upcoming Dance Needs Our student-run Dance Committee is looking for several large cardboard boxes to use for backdrops for the “Under the Sea” themed dance. Boxes are being stored by the shed outside the Sequoia Classroom. They are also looking for any colorful paint donations, used or unused. Paperwork Due! Please turn in all appendices from the Middle School Handbook as well as your Immersion Trip Chaperone Choice forms by Friday, September 9th. Thank you.
