MEASUREMENT Approx 13 x 13 ins [33 x 33 cm] MATERIALS Patons Canadiana (100 g/3.5 oz) or Patons Décor (100 g/3.5 oz) Main Color (MC) (Med Blue) 1 ball Contrast B (Royal Blue) 1 ball Small amounts of Contrast A (Mauve), Contrast C (Navy), Contrast D (Red) and Contrast E (Gold)
BODY With MC, cast on 10 sts. 1st row: (RS). *Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * to end of row. 20 sts. 2nd and alt rows: Purl. 3rd row: *K1. Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * to end of row. 30 sts. Work 3 rows in stocking st. 7th row: *K2. Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * to end of row. 40 sts. With MC, beg with purl row, work 15 rows in stocking st. With B, work 30 rows in stocking st. With MC, work 8 rows in stocking st.
Size 4 mm (U.S. 6) knitting needles or size Shape Front: 1st row: With E, *K2. K2tog. Rep needed to obtain tension. Stuffing. from * to end of row. 30 sts. 2nd and alt rows: Purl. TENSION 3rd row: With A, *K1. K2tog. Rep from * to end of row. 20 sts. 21 sts and 27 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

Tail Detail (make 2) With D, cast on 12 sts. 1st row: (WS). Knit. 2nd row: (P2tog) 6 times. 6 sts. Break yarn leaving a long end. Thread end through rem sts. Draw up and fasten securely. Sew seam. Sew to sides of Tail as illustrated.
WINGS (make 2 alike) With B, cast on 40 sts. Work 4 rows in stocking st. Dec 1 st each end of next and following alt rows to 14 sts. Cast off. Fold Wing along middle of work and sew cast off edge. Sew side edges tog. Stuff Wings and sew cast on edge to sides of Body as illustrated.
NOSE With C, cast on 20 sts loosely. 1st row: (WS). Knit. 2nd row: (P2tog) 10 times. 10 sts. Break yarn leaving a long end. Thread end through rem sts. Draw up and fasten securely. Sew seam. Sew in front of Body leaving an opening for stuffing. Stuff Nose lightly and sew opening closed.
TAIL With B, cast on 30 sts. Work 4 rows in stocking st. Dec 1 st each end of needle on next and every following 4th row to 14 sts. Cast off. Fold Tail along middle of work and sew cast off edge. Sew side edges tog. Stuff Tail and sew cast on edge to top of Body at back as illustrated.
PROPELLER (make 2) With C, cast on 20 sts loosely. 1st row: (WS). K14. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. 2nd row: Knit. Cast off all sts. Sew pieces to Nose as illustrated.
