QUARTER OR HALF COW
Our Devon, Hereford and Red Angus cows are born and raised here on our organic fields. They are 100% grass-fed for their entire lifespan. Our cows are rotationally grazed with our goats and our laying hens, moving pasture every 2-3 days during the height of the season. Throughout the year we are able to sell a limited number of quarter and half cows to interested customers. Fill up your freezers with our lean and delicious meat to last you throughout the year! HOW MUCH BEEF WILL I RECEIVE? Not sure what a large beef purchase will look like? HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? The final cost is dependent on the hanging weight of the cow. Our average hanging weights here at Asgaard have been around 550lb. Here’s the breakdown of the costs, based on hanging weight: QUARTER COW: $4.25/lb based on hanging weight $22.50 slaughter fee $0.85/lb cutting/packaging based on hanging weight $5 box fee
HALF COW $4.00/lb based on hanging weight $45 slaughter fee $0.85/lb cutting/packaging based on hanging weight $10 box fee
