Calgary Milling Company The westerly brick building was sold by George E. Jacques in 1901 to the Calgary Milling Co., whose owners included: P.A. Prince and I.K. Kerr (partners in the Eau Claire and Bow River Lumber Co.); Fred Brown; John Irwin (a former Hudson Bay Co. employee and later MLA); A.S. McKay; and John Hamilton. The company was purchased by Robin Hood Mills in 1912 but Mr. Irwin continued to operate the store under his name, the John Irwin Co., for the next 20 years
