I think so - up to 180-270cm (6-9') Look closely at my huge flower head. Can you see? It isn’t one flower but hundreds of little ones that look like one from a distance. You can eat my seeds when they are ripe, or leave them for the birds in the garden.
Sow my seeds: March-May
Can I grow taller than you?
Choose a sunny site in the garden with weed-free soil. Put 2-3 seeds in groups 30-45cm (12-18") apart into the soil about 13mm (¼") deep. Lightly cover with soil and water well. You can also sow your seeds indoors, one to a 9cm (3") pot and grow them on a sunny windowsill before planting them out later.
Care of your Sunny Sunflowers
Soon you should see tiny young plants appear. You may need to dig some out carefully and replant them so each one is about 30-45cm (12-18") apart. As the plants grow feed them with plant food. You may need to support them with a strong stick as they grow taller.
