Y1 & 2 Flu Jab Just a reminder, children in Y1 & 2 will receive the flu jab in school on Monday 19th October.
Returning Clothing Occasionally children have toileting accidents in school. We are happy to sort them and put clean underwear on. If this happens to your child, please could we ask that the underwear is washed and returned to school.
PE Kit The school policy is that children should have their own PE kit in school and not ‘borrow’ kit from other children. There have been a couple of occasions this term where children have taken it upon themselves to borrow kit from other children and then either not returned the kit or returned it in less than satisfactory condition. The children have all been told in assembly today that they are not to borrow kit and that we have kit (not the best) that they can use. The main message is that they should all have their own kit in school ready for lessons.
Cov FabLab? FabLab Coventry is a not-for-profit partnership between Coventry University, Coventry City Council, the University of Warwick, and numerous other partners from the private and voluntary sectors. Cov FabLab is financed through a combination of partner donations, membership fees, grant funding, volunteering, and a modest income from fees for materials and machine use. However, we have a “sweat equity” policy that means that volunteering counts towards the use of machines and membership fees. It’s important to us that Cov Fab Lab is created by the people of Coventry for the people of Coventry. Please help us make it happen by coming to our Cov Fab Lab cocreation event What is a Fab Lab? A FabLab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop with a range of equipment and tools, with the aim to make "almost anything". FabLabs encourage sharing information and ideas. Cov FabLab includes: Computer aided design (CAD) modelling Laser cutter 3-axis CNC milling machines 3D printer Printed circuit board milling Microprocessor and digital electronics design, assembly, and test stations equipment and materials for sewing and casting For more information please visit www.coventry.ac.uk/CovFabLab or to register email Sinead Ouillon:
