Tiny Mite Football The Tiny Mite team came out to play on a cold Saturday morning, but things heated up quickly against the older and stronger Manchester Eagles in what turned out to be a thrilling game on Preston Field. Manchester started with the ball and was able to finally bend the Bulldog defense and score on a long run down the sideline. The Bulldogs answered with a 12 play drive capped off by a trademark 37 Power assault from Gavin "G-Mack" McConnell (3 TDs) who had key blocks all day from Adam "A-Train" Tamburello and "Izzy" Landies. On the Eagles' ensuing drive a hard hit by Frankie "Snaps" O'Donnell jarred the ball loose and led to a Bedford recovery. Bedford took over and drive the field again with great blocking from Gabe "Taz" Landies, "Rocky" Aronson and Evan "Ironman" LaForge. Manchester scored on a fumble return, but Jack "Flash" Redfern joined in the fun with a few carries and some great defensive play alongside "JB" Boughter, slowing the Eagles down and enabling another Bulldogs TD. Jayden "Dozer" Wilson delivered on another pancake block this week, pouring on the NH Maple Syrup and plowing the way for the final Bedford score. QB "Bucky" LaPointe completed his first career pass with a perfect spiral on a swing route, enabled by some great pass blocking from "Cool Breeze" Maslanka and Graham "Chimi" Chmiliecki. Caleb "Smash" Cleland finished the day with some great tackles from the defensive line.

Mitey Mite Red The Mitey Mite Red played a big rivalry game against the Manchester Eagles in front of a boisterous hometown crowd. The offensive and defensive lines, anchored by Nolan Murphy, Caleb Goldstein, Carter Rick, Sam Doty, Nate Duquette and Aaron Chmielecki powered many of the drives and thwarted Eagles runners all day. With a nifty TD run in the 1st half, that got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard, Brady Jackson shed would be tacklers with power and speed. Dean Poltronieri, caught the season’s longest pass, on a drive at the end of the first half, where the Bulldogs ran out of time before striking paydirt. The running attack of the Bulldogs was a multi-faceted attack, with Ethan Steichen, Tyler Parshay, James Gregory, Noah Humphrey and William Neikham all punishing Eagles defenders with their own brand of Thunder and Lightning. James Gregory found success running the ball in the second half as well. Evan Maslanka also carried a big part of the running workload and scampered into the end zone for the second Bulldog score. On defense, Zachary Elmer and Jacob Parshay knocked down passes and stuffed receivers repeatedly to lead the defensive attack. The Eagles had a very good offensive tandem themselves and were able to pull away in the second half despite a terrific effort by the home-town team. The Bulldogs fell to 2-3 on

the season, and look to get back on the winning ways next week against the Amherst Patriots at home.

Mitey Mite Black Bedford Mitey Mite Black finally got to wear their namesake black jerseys against Amherst, the #1 MM team in the state. The Bulldogs hosted the Patriots for a late morning breakfast at BHS featuring a heaping serving of Cap'n Crunch with a side of Snap, Crackle, and Pop! Bedford Black's feared defense was on display again as Logan O'Connell stuffed the middle while Andre Steinbrueck roamed the LB slot like a rabid dog. The duo helped force a fumble that was recovered by Josh Meisner. Bedford's offense capitalized as Justin Chiras rumbled in for a 7-yard score. Evan Dunker then slammed in the extra point for a 7-0 Bedford lead. Bedford's D was ill-tempered and chippy as corner Sam Meisner and Hudson "Island" Schmitt erased the edge while Nick Spencer, Beau Boughter, Luke Tenn, and Patrik Burke cleaned up the inside. The Bulldog's offense then took the to the air to hit pay dirt with a huge play. QB Evan Dunker rolled right, and threw a beautiful ball to James "Jimmy TD" Gilbert, resulting in a 48-yard TD. Mr. Dunker finished what he started with the extra point on a dive up the middle. Bedford up 14-0. The Patriots did not give up and were able to push down the field for a score, but the extra-point attempt failed as another Dunker, younger brother Beau, shut the play down on the 1-yard line, securing a 14-6 halftime lead. In the second half the Dawgs got back after it again as Drew Redfern rushed the QB and Evan Dunker intercepted the pass. The Patriots were able to make a final push and score again late in the 4th quarter despite the hawking defense of Alex Cotnoir and Matty Ciruso, narrowing the lead to 14-12 Bedford.

With only a few minutes on the clock, the Patriots tried for the extra-point kick for the tie. Staring into the face of an intimidated line of drooling Bulldogs dressed in black proved too daunting, as the attempt sailed wide right, falling harmlessly to the Bedford turf. Bedford wins 14-12 and improves to a 3-2 record. Up next is another home contest against the Capital City Vipers. See you there!

Jr. Pee Wee Red football On the friendly fields of strife, the undefeated Bedford Red JPW team met the Manchester

Eagles. After deferring, the Red “Steel Curtain” continued its dominance. Ethan Kemp, Cal McAuliffe, Mason Kimball, Alex Grudinskas and Brady “B-train” Champagne proved a formidable defensive front combined with linebackers, Aiden “All-Day” O’Connell, Evan Cibotti and Eric Morgan. The secondary including Ledger Russell, Jalen Kamineni and Joel “Vinny” Poltronieri contributed to hold the Eagles scoreless. Brady Martino, JD Cote, Ronan Balistreri, Tyrece Sealey, Brock Tamburello and Owen Richmond all contributed with impressive tackles. The true story of the day was turnovers. The Red defense had four fumble recoveries and two highlight film worthy takeaways for touchdowns. The first was Cal McAuliffe who stripped the ball and lumbered 45 yards for a TD. Not to be outdone, Eric Morgan pounded his way into a gang tackle and somehow came out with the ball returning it for the second defensive

the final score 37-0. Bedford Red is home next week against the Amherst.

JD Cote, Jamie Collins, Owen Richmond, Brady Martino, Ronan Balistreri, Jalen Kamineni, and Brady Champagne all rushed for positive yards. Alex Grudinskas was the first to score, seemingly carrying the entire Eagle defense with him into the end zone. Cal McAuliffe added two more offensive touchdowns on some power running and Eric Morgan scored on a QB sneak to make

Jr. Pee Wee Black football The Bedford Bulldogs battled a determined Amherst Patriots team at the Bedford High School field on Saturday. While the Patriot offense was effective in moving the ball, a more determined Bulldog defense kept Amherst out of endzone and prevailed 12-0. On Amherst's first possession, Danny Black, Dylan Soden, Luke Soden, Ethan Flanigan, Ryan Rankins, Nate Clark, and Kevin Sheridan led the Bedford defense with a series of tackles that stopped the Patriots at the Bedford fifteen yardline. The Bulldog offense

pushed back the Patriots advance with a long yardage carry by Kevin Sheridan and numerous incursions by Jackson Buldoc. Ethan Healy eluded Patriot secondary coverage to pull down a perfectly thrown ball by Danny Black. Jackson Buldoc continued the Bulldog air assault with a diving catch that placed the Bulldog offense within striking distance of the Patriots goal line. Spenser Henrichon, Nate Clark, and Kevin Sheridan opened up a crater in the Patriot defensive line that Jackson Buldoc darted through to put the first six points on the board for the Bulldogs. The Amherst Patriots went on to challenge the Bulldog secondary with some impressive passing for long yardage gains. The Bulldogs responded by applying pressure on the Amherst backfield. Nate Clark registered a sack on the Patriot quarterback, and Nathan Pratte illustrated textbook defensive end containment and tackling. Ethan Chimilecki and Jack Riso applied hits with stopping power on Patriot ball carriers and receivers. Christian Morley, Teghan McConnell, Will Helmke, and Ben Nguyen powered the Bulldog offensive line. Tactical blocking by Luke Soden and Jack Riso, coupled with downfield security by Kieran Rice, opened the way for a 33 yard fourth quarter touchdown run by Jackson Buldoc. The Bedford Bulldogs JPW Black teams plays Androscoggin Valley on Sunday, October 23 at Bedford High School. The game begins at 1:00 PM.
