Meeting Minutes Date: Tuesday 17th May 2016 Where: Nurture Room, 3pm Who: Michelle Christiansen, John Christiansen, Pamela Pendleton & Ruth Swift Apologies: Julia Garner, Joanne Alliston, Vanessa Foote and Nicola Curtin Fashion Show Thursday 9th June 2016 Ticket sales are going well we are 55 approx tickets sold. Pam did a leaflet drop in the playground today to update on our raffle prizes for the event and to prompt some further sales this week. We will be selling tickets on Friday in the playground alongside our end of term tuck shop. The office also has tickets available for purchase. June has taken posters and leaflets to local shops. Local leaflet drop will be done over the next few weeks in the run up to the event. Nibbles for the event will be maximum £35 spend depending on final ticket sales. Mufti day this Friday, leaflets gone out and Pam asking Joyce to do a message out to parents on Thursday as a reminder. Mrs Hodgson has confirmed this could be done. Wine and Bucks fizz for the evening we are going to initially purchase 10 bottles of Bucks fizz for the entrance drinks and 20 bottles of wine to cover refreshments and tombola. Discount to be used against this. To review quantities after half term for ticket sales. Tombola will be arranged with tickets paying £1 for a ticket to either win a glass of wine or a bottle. Then the ticket will be taken to the wine selection to collect separately. Other drinks will be available to purchase at different prices eg. cans of coke and lemonade. Decoration and preparation before the event will be put up at the beginning of half term to provide a visual for the event. Bunting, balloons, signs etc. Garden Party Friday 1st July 2016 Volunteers – we need to start making a list please let us know if you will be available to help out at this event. A leaflet will be sent out after half term to try and put together a committee to organise and run the event. We need to get word out. Perhaps another playground leaflet drop asking for helpers to come forward is something we could do. People/businesses of interest for this event eg Shy Lowen, Fire Bridgade, JM Education, Lizard Lounge, Canine Defense league/Dogs Trust will be sent letters out to begin conversation on possible attendance to our event. Playground Update Storage box is now in place and the first order of equipment has been purchased due to arrive any day. Painting day was cancelled due to bad weather however we do have a Volunteer group from Santander coming in on June 8th to carry out work for us. Painting the wood all around the playground will be done on this day. They have kindly given £250 to school for items to be purchased so more paint and brushes is being put together between Pam and Pat in preparation for this. We do still have refreshments available and will use these as a thank you for their help. Benches – Sheerins Sheds is putting together a sample bench ready for review on Thursday the cost per bench is £75-85. It is cedar wood which is long lasting. Pam also met with a local man called Alfie who does benches for a hobby and he is getting back to us on his quotes also. Church Fair is Saturday 2nd July – Volunteers for this and to ask what the church would like us to do for this event. To make further decisions after half term. Discussed meeting attendance, days and times for holding meetings. We will try an earlier time of 2.30pm and set for the Wednesday before the fashion show to ensure ready to go ahead.
