FLORIDA TRIP Gettysburg enjoyed a solid trip to Florida during spring break last week, as the Bullets went 6-4 over their seven-day visit to the Sunshine State. The Orange & Blue received strong pitching, finishing with a team ERA of 2.25. Starting pitchers threw seven complete games, but the most impressive performance may have been a combined nine-inning six-hitter from junior Drew Roy and freshman Drew Felsenthal in a 3-2 upset of 14th-ranked St. Scholastica. The trip also did not lack in drama, as the Bullets pulled out two victories in their last at-bat, with freshman Nate Simon smacking a walk-off single in a 5-4 win over Centenary and classmate Cam MacDonald doing the same in a 6-5 win over Rutgers-Camden. CONFERENCE LEADERS Several Bullets currently rank among the Centennial Conference leaders. Senior Cory Jackmuff is first in sacrifice bunts (four) while Karis is sixth in hits (19). Sophomore Drew Hoppes is tied for first in sacrifice flies (three), and classmate Brett Norton is ninth in ERA (2.76). Sophomore Ryan Taylor and Karis are third and sixth in innings pitched with 23 1/3 and 20 2/3, respectively, while Taylor is also tied for seventh in strikeouts (18).

Kyle Conklin worked 5 2/3 innings to earn the win for Gettysburg. Evan Pappas went 3-for-4 for Juniata.
