Conversations with the Winemaker Our 2012 California Zinfandel was made from carefully selected Zinfandel grapes grown in prestigious, sustainably farmed vineyards across California. Select lots of old and new vine Zinfandel were blended to develop a complex, fruitforward wine before being aged in primarily stainless steel

tanks. A small portion of the wine was aged in seasoned American and Hungarian oak barrels to impart a light oak characteristic while allowing the wine to stay true to its varietal character. Tasting Notes Ruby red in your glass, the 2012 California Zinfandel exhibits aromas and flavors of tart cherries, raisin, apricot, anise and vanilla. The wine is juicy and complex with many layers to discover. It has a well-balanced structure and a medium to long finish. This would be a great pairing for wood-grilled pizza or pasta with red meat or mushroom sauce.
