VINEYARD INFO / REGION 100% California Our 2012 Zinsanity is grown in the Central Valley of California, a region that has seen much success over the past few years in cultivating expressive and balanced Zinfandel. Vineyards are situated amongst the rolling hills of Lodi, with warm, dry summers and relatively cool winters, Zinfandel thrives here. WINE MAKING / VITICULTURE In Lodi, 2012 was unusually cool during harvest with a moderate September, allowing growers and producers to pick at optimum ripeness without the pressures of controlling steep alcohol levels. The wines are restrained, sophisticated, showing great acidity and ripeness without the heaviness of over-‐extraction. TASTING NOTES On the palate there is an abundance of ripe berry fruits like cranberry, raspberry and currant, with a finish of white pepper flakes and a touch of cherry marmalade. A perfect red to accompany BBQ, pizza, and summer fare. TECHNICAL NOTES VINTAGE: 2012 VARIETAL: 100% Zinfandel ALC: 14.4% TOTAL ACIDITY: 6.1 G/L VA: 0.49 G/L
