The winner of the Central Region will advance to the Elite Eight to be held March 21-22, and 24, 2012 at Bank of Kentucky Center - Highland Heights, Kent. - Host: Northern Kentucky University.
NSIC Tie-Breaking Criteria
The tie-breaking criteria for seeding into the NSIC / Sanford Health Basketball Tournaments will be as follows. (Note: The formula will be used to break one tie at a time. Once a team is seeded via the following tiebreaker, the formula will repeat itself from the beginning to determine any additional seeding for the tournament due to ties in the conference standings. The formula will be used to break the highest-seeded tie first according to the conference standings). Tie-Breakers 1. Conference Record 2. Head to head if two games are played 3. Point rating system – Conference only games 4. Head to head if one game is played 5. Point rating system – include DII non-conference games 6.
