VINEYARD

At DeLoach Vineyards we strive to produce distinctive wines that PINOT NOIR spotlight unique terroirs in a socially and environmentally responsible way. We practice sustainable viticulture and utilize minimally intrusive winemaking techniques that lets the terroir shine through in each wine we craft.

The 2013 vintage across the Central Coast was an ideal growing season with the perfect conditions for bloom and fruit set. A dry winter led to a mild spring and cool summer. The extra summer fog and cloud cover allowed for an extended growing season resulting in excellent flavor concentration, good acidity, and structure.

Old World winemaking heritage meets Central Coast terroir in this vibrant DeLoach Vineyards Pinot Noir. As a family-owned winery, we take great pride in producing distinctive wines that highlight the unique nuances of each appellation, while at the same time nourishing the land with eco-friendly viticulture and minimally intrusive winemaking. The fruit for this luscious Pinot Noir was carefully selected from premium vineyards on California’s Central Coast during the early days of November. The wine underwent a 3 day cold soak followed by a 14 day fermentation after which it was left on skins for an additional 5 days. The wine was then aged with a combination of stainless steel and French oak, 15% new.

Our 2013 Central Coast Pinot Noir opens with bright aromas of strawberry and Bing cherry followed by just hint of violet. Luscious flavors of raspberry, cardamom spice and a touch of oak culminate with a well-structured and deliciously long finish that sails across the palate.
