2013 CLIFF EDGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON Winemaking note
Tasting note
Often the last vineyard to be picked at Mount Langi, our Cabernet Sauvignon has a long ripening period to produce the complex tannin and fruit balance.
Colour Purple with red hues.
The 2013 Cliff Edge Cabernet Sauvignon showcases distinct Grampians regional character with classic varietal charm reflective of Langi’s cool climate. Sourced from Cabernet vines of up to 50 years of age, this wine delivers plush and flowing blackcurrant, plum and cherry. Old spice, perfumed violets and hints of chocolate and cedar are woven through the fine, silky palate. A graceful, delicate wine reflective of a great Langi vintage.
Aromas Plush and flowing blackcurrant, plum and cherry. Palate Old spice, perfumed violets and hints of chocolate and cedar are woven through the fine, silky palate. This is supported by subtle oak and fine acidity with a hint of Langi spice on the finish. Cellar up to 10 years.

The 2013 vintage was hot and dry – one of the driest on record. Extreme heat spikes in January and February led to advanced ripening, but thankfully the cooler conditions returned in March allowing fruit to develop its full range of flavours and complex phenolic structure.
