• Five different MT players recorded a shot in the season opener vs. Belmont. The Blue • Raiders fell in overtime in its opener after a penalty kick was awarded with two minutes left in the first overtime period. • Kelsey Brouwer collected four saves in the Blue Raiders season opener at Belmont to give her 125 career saves. • Brouwer ranks seventh in the Middle Tennessee record book in career saves and is six saves away from jumping into the sixth-place spot. • Three wins in net this season will catapult Brouwer into the top-five in Middle Tennessee history in career wins as she currently has 14 wins; tied for sixth in the record books. • Emily Jorgenson collected All-Conference USA Third team honors in 2013 as she returns to anchor the back line. • Grace Summers collected the Blue Raiders lone shot on goal against the Bruins. Summers has landed a shot on goal in her last five regular season contests. • Freshman Blue Raiders are looking to make an impact early as five of the new faces collected a total of 242 minutes in their season opener and Silje Clasby earned her first career shot. • The Blue Raiders went to overtime in their first two contests in 2013 as they look to take on Lipscomb on Friday and hope to break the cycle. • Middle Tennessee has not lost to Lipscomb in the program’s six meetings. The two squads played to a scoreless draw last year; the only tie of the team’s series history. CONFERENCE USA STANDINGS • The Blue Raiders registered 38 goals against the Lady Bisons in six head-to-head match ups. • The Lady Bisons faced Belmont in exhibition play and came away with a 2-0 win as Ellen Lundy, Atlantic Sun Preseason All-Conference selection tabbed both goals for Lipscomb. • Middle Tennessee is 10-6-2 against teams from the state of Tennessee in the last five seasons. • The Blue Raiders home opener vs. Alabama on Sunday is their first of two SEC contests this season. MT will face Ole Miss on the road on Sept. 14. • The Crimson Tide collected a win and a loss in its first weekend of the season with a 5-1 win vs. Kennesaw State and a 2-1 loss to Memphis. MT played KSU in exhibition play and defeated the Owls 4-2. • Alabama leads the all-time record against the Blue Raiders with a 4-10 record. The last time the two teams faced off was in 2010 when The Crimson Tide won 3-0. No one on the Middle Tennessee roster has gone head-to-head with Alabama. • The Crimson Tide has rifled 34 shots in its first two games of the season with 17 of those shots going on frame. • Middle Tennessee and Alabama share three common opponents on their schedule this season with Austin Peay, UAB and Ole Miss. • MT has posted a winning home record in its last 17 seasons.
