The third team had a relatively young an inexperienced squad in 2015. This was due to the knock on effect of players having moved on higher up the teams. It was important then that skipper Alan harwood could rely on an experienced batsman to help the younger players. At the start of the season, Matthew Fishburn played that role but after 6 games he returned to Northallerton. Keith Barker became the bed rock for the side’s batting. He made over 500 runs at an average of over 56, including one century and 4 scores of fifty or more. Jonny Pears had an excellent first full season with the bat opening alongside keith. He scored 241 runs with a best of 54 (his first senior half century)
Bradley Goldsmith arrived from Richmondshire and bolstered both the batting and bowling for the side. He soon was snapped up by the seconds and has a good future at the club. Dan Lee, Alan Harwood and Oliver Smith were the three other batsmen to accumulate over 100 runs in the league season. Other highlights were 48 by teenager, Dan Brown at Richmondshire, an unbeaten 37 from Rishabh Ray and impressive knocks from Chris Heron and Prattish Thakkar.

With 20 bowlers used and ECB over limitations on young bowlers, skipper Alan Harwood had to juggle his bowling attack in each game.
2
His 22 wickets were the mainstay for the side but every player who bowled contributed and showed promise for the future. Mark Stainsby and Dan Lee were the other adult wicket takers and 17 year old Bradley Goldsmith chipped in with 13 wickets. There were moments for the future from some good bowling spells from the youngsters in the squad. Drew Charlton, Ryan Goldsmith and Rishabh Ray with 8 wickets and Tom Horniman with 7 showed they were making their mark. Jack Parker at 16 years old took 9 wickets including 3 for 14 in one game. Our first female to play senior cricket, Maddy Atkinson played twice and bowled impressively. She should be congratulated on her maiden senior wicket.

3rd XI saw no one take more than 3 wickets. That was Alan Harwood.
