2015 Lexington Fall League Regulations All players participating in the USTA Fall League Program, as a condition of their participation, agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth in this document. All participants must be USTA members through the duration of the entire league season. Regulations of this league shall not supersede any rule or regulation of the USTA Southern Section or USTA Kentucky. 1. Each player shall have reached 18 years of age, 40 years of age or 55 years of age prior to, or during the calendar year in which such player plays his/her first local league match for 18 and over, 40 and over and 55 and over respectively. 2. Each player must have a current USTA membership. 3. The 2015 Fall League will run October 9- December 20 with registration opening September 1st . 4. Teams must be registered in TennisLink by October 1, 2015. A team consists of a minimum of 5 players of the same gender for 18 and over & 40 and over, 6 players for 55 and over and of the appropriate NTRP level to play a match. Additional players may register on a team through 12/20/2015. 5. Cost to register is $17.00 plus a TennisLink fee of $3.00. 6. The following divisions are available: a. 18 and over, Men & Women (1 singles, 2 doubles) 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 & 5.0+ b. 40 and over, Men & Women (1 singles, 2 doubles) 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+ c. 55 and over, Men & Women (3 doubles) 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 9.0 Combined 7. Teams may have a maximum of 20 players. 8. Players that do not have an NTRP rating may self rate using the Experienced Self Rate Guidelines (available at ustaky.com) and declare a rating while registering for a team. Omission of information regarding a player’s tennis history will subject the player, the captain and /or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to sanctions and/or disqualification. USTA 3.03E(4). 9. League Play in the Fall League does not count toward NTRP end of the year ratings.
10. All players must use their current published rating at the time of registration on the team. 11. Players may play on multiple teams/same level as long as they are in different divisions. 12. Matches will be the best 2 out 3 sets, with the Coman set tie-breaker to be used at the end of each set if necessary. In lieu of third set, a Coman 10 point match tie-breaker shall be played. 13. Scores of matches must be recorded in TennisLink within 48 hours of the match. Winning teams will be determined first by number of matches won, then by number of individual courts won, then least number of sets lost and least number of games lost. 14. Matches will be played indoors. Players will be responsible for court costs. This will range from approx. $10-12.50 per player, per match- fee set by facility. 15. In case of inclement weather captains will work together to reschedule the match within a two week period of time. All matches must be played by December 20, 2015. 16.
