2015 Lexington Tri-Level Local League Regulations All players participating in the USTA Tri-Level League Program, as a condition of their participation, agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth in this document. All participants must be USTA members through the duration of the entire league season. Regulations of this league shall not supersede any rules or regulation of the USTA Southern Section or USTA Kentucky. 1. Each player shall have reached eighteen years of age prior to, or during the calendar year in which such player plays his/her first local league match. 2. Each player must have a USTA membership. 3. Teams must be registered in TennisLink by January 29, 2015. A team consists of a minimum of 6 players of the same gender and of the appropriate NTRP level to play a match. Additional players may register on a team through 2/08/2015. 4. Cost to register is $17.00 plus a TennisLink fee of $3.00. 5. The following divisions are available: a. Adult Divisions 18 & Over 2.5/ 3.0/ 3.5, 3.0/3.5/4.0, 3.5/4.0/4.5 b. Adult Division 40 & Over 3.0/3.5/ 4.0, 3.5/4.0/4.5 c. Adult Division 55 & Over, Men & Women 3.0/3.5/ 4.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 6. Teams may have a maximum of 18 players. Each team must consist of a minimum 2 NTRP ratings. Players may play up .5 level but cannot play down a level. Examples for 4.0, 3.5, 3.0 team could be the following combinations: a. 2 (4.0 players), 2 (3.5 players) and 2 (3.0 players) with 4.0 playing on court one, 3.5 players playing court 2, and 3.0 players playing court 3. b. 4 (3.5 players) and 2 (3.0 players) with 3.5 playing on 4.0 court one and 3.5 court 2, and 3.0 players playing court 3 (3.0 cannot play the 4.0 court). c. 2 (3.5 players) and 4 (3.0 players) with 3.5 playing on 4.0 court one, 3.0 players playing on 3.5 court 2 and 3.0 court 3 (3.0 cannot play the 4.0 court). 7. Players that do not have an NTRP rating may self rate using the Experienced Self Rate Guidelines (available at ustaky.com) and declare a rating while registering for a team. Omission of information regarding a player’s tennis history will subject the player, the captain and /or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to sanctions and/or disqualification. USTA 3.03E(4). 8. A player may play on multiple teams as long as they are in different level divisions. Example: Player A, 3.5 can play in Adult 18 & Over 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, Adult 18 & Over 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, Adult 40 &Over 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and Adult 55 & Over 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. Players cannot play on two teams of the same level within the same age division. Players who qualify for advancement to Kentucky

State Championships may advance on any team for which he/she is registered and meets the qualifications. Teams must be of either different age divisions or different levels. There will be no concessions made for scheduling. 9. Players promoted during any USTA Tri-Level League to the next level of play must play at the new level and if necessary join a new Tri-Level team. Local League Coordinators will provide assistance in placing promoted players on existing teams. 10. Play will be in a round robin format. All teams must participate in the same number of round robins as every team in the flight. If more than 9 teams are in a division, the division will be divided into flights. 11. Scores of matches must be recorded in TennisLink immediately following the match. The team winning the majority of individual matches shall be awarded one team point. 12. In cases where there is only one team that signs up for a division; they will be required to join another league that has team(s) of that division. 13. In case of inclement weather captains will work together to reschedule the match within a two week period of time if coordinator is unable to reschedule within weekend of February 58, 2015. All matches must be played by February 25th 2015. 14. Captains may reschedule matches only in case of inclement weather and approval by the Coordinator. Captains may contact the coordinator at [email protected] . 15. Winning team(s) that have played a minimum of three local league matches will be eligible to advance to the state tournament. All players must have played a minimum of 1 match (no default counting). 16. Local leagues with the following number of teams per local season may qualify to advance to the Kentucky State Championships: 2-5 teams 2 teams 6-10 teams 3 teams 11+ teams 4 teams 17. Players must play a minimum of one match to advance. 18. Teams must have played a minimum of 3 matches to advance.

A Grievance Committee/Grievance Appeal Committee will stand to interpret these rules and regulations. The committee will be chosen from but not limited to the list above; others as needed may be selected from other committees or league players if needed.
