you to our Matt Smith Memorial Golf Outing. Matt was a 2002 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. Growing up, he made numerous all-star teams, but his passion was football. Matt finished his high school career as an offensive lineman and was selected to represent the East Squad in the East/ West All-Star Game. Unfortunately, Matt never got the opportunity to play in the game as his life was cut tragically short in a car accident on June 3, 2002, one day after graduation. Matt’s overwhelming love for his family and his friends is his legacy and even as he passed on, it was a part of his heart that saved a young girl’s life. This would make him the proudest of all! Matt was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
