State Political Reporter, Macquarie Radio Network News Main responsibility: • To provide leading coverage of political and public policy developments in New South Wales for radio stations 2GB, 2UE and 2CH. Duties: • Produce radio news stories – conduct interviews, write scripts, voice reports and edit audio. • Conduct live crosses to program presenters on 2GB, 2UE and other MRN stations. • Make regular posts to Twitter. • Work with editors to determine news agenda and daily strategy. • Assist with other general assignment stories as needed. • Occasional out of office hours and weekend work is required. Required Skills and Knowledge • Experience in a radio news environment. • A proven ability to identify a story and file accurate, informative and interesting content for radio.
