Bumble Bee Social Audit Program • Bolsters compliance with Bumble Bee supplier code of conduct • Initiated several years ago, prioritized based on country risk and business volume • Assessments and “semi-unannounced” onsite SMETA audits performed against local/ national law and Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code in nine main areas. • Social audit process focused on meeting basic standards while driving improvement over time – observe that our good operators often best performers • Recognize other credible audits performed – want process to be value add and not simply additional administrative burden 2
