Trinity Lutheran MOPS Newsletter April 2015 THANK YOU! Our recent photography fundraiser went amazing! We had 113 sittings, and received a $1000 bonus. A huge thank you to Dori S. and Hannah W. for all their hard work and time making this happen! Also thank you to everyone that sold coupons or helped during the sitting times. We did it! The 2015-‐16 MOPS International Theme has been revealed – A Fierce Flourishing “Sometimes we need new eyes. A perspective shift that recalibrates our hearts to the rhythm of God’s goodness surrounding us. To tune our hearts to better hear the music of the divine echoing throughout this world. That we might let that goodness seep into our bones and into our hearts so we can remember what it feels like to flourish.” 2015-‐2015 Theme Verse: For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Meet our MOPS moms!
Renee
Mandy Mandy’s kids consist of her stepson Peyton (9), her son Wyatt (5), her son Cody (2) and her son Jake (6mo). Her biggest surprise about motherhood is never being able to sleep the same. Even when she manages a night away, she still wakes up thinking about the kids! Her favorite movie is The Notebook. The farthest Mandy has been from home is a beach vacation in Florida. Her mother-‐ in-‐law has had the greatest impact on her life. “She has inspired me, supported me, and encouraged me. I feel blessed to have her in my life.” This year Mandy is going to be herself, bravely by being honest when she is taking on too many things.
Renee has 5 kids, aging from 29 to 11. She was born and raised in Africa. Renee loves animals, and worked as a vet tech before she had kids. She also took an opportunity to go back to work outside the house and is the assistant teacher at Camas Prairie Preschool. This year, her oldest son got married and her next son graduates high school. She is putting our MOPS theme into action by choosing to love bravely and have courage in the midst of big changes.
Sandy
Sandy was born in Germany, and raised in Idaho Falls. She met her husband in high school and they’ve been married 5 years. Sandy has 3 kids ages 6, 3, and one month. When she and her husband have a night off, they usually play video games at home. Sandy is being brave this year by choosing to not dwell on what others think of her, and living life to the fullest. MOPS is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church. We are so grateful for all the support from Pastor Mike and the church staff. If you’re looking for a church home, please consider Trinity Lutheran Church. Worship is at 9:30am and Sunday School and Adult Bible Study is at 11am – Coffee and Fellowship is at 10:30am
