Trinity  Lutheran  MOPS  Newsletter                                        January  2015   February  12     Two  of  our  very  own  MOPS  moms  will  be  pampering  us!   You  will  have  the  opportunity  to  experience  the  benefits  of  Mary  Kay  and/or  Jamberry   Nails.    Angela  Baxter  will  teach  moms  emergency  makeup  techniques  &  proper  winter   skin  care,  with  goody  bags  to  try  some  Mary  Kay  products!    Mandy  Crea  will  be  giving   moms  the  opportunity  to  experience  Jamberry  Nails!       Here  is  a  little  information  Mandy  would  like  to  share  about  Jamberry,  “Alright,  so  what   the  heck  are  these  Jamberry  nail  things?  Lemme  tell  you!  They  are  vinyl,  heat  activated   nail  wraps  that  you  can  apply  on  naked  nails,  gel  nails,  acrylic  or  even  those  freaky   Guinness  Book  of  world  record  ones....  you  know  what  I  mean!  The  best  part  is  they  last   up  to  2  weeks  on  fingers  and  6  on  toes!  We  even  have  a  junior’s  line!  The  best  bang  for   your  buck  is  the  buy  three  get  one  free.    The  sheets  are  $15.00  per  sheet  this  provides  2   pedicures,  2  manicures,  plus  4  accent  nails.    I  am  excited  to  introduce  Jamberry  to  The   MOPs.    I  look  forward  to  pampering  us  moms  just  in  time  for  Valentine's  Day.”   MOPS  has  sponsored  each  mom  if  they  choose  to  have  one  manicure  set  of  Jamberry   nails.    Mandy  is  graciously  offering  MOPS  a  fundraising  opportunity,  whatever  orders   are  placed  the  day  of  MOPS  Mandy  will  offer  free  shipping  plus  donate  10%  of  total   sales  back  to  MOPS!!!       February  26   MOPS  Video  Story:  Courage  to  Face  Your  Mom  Fears   MOPS  International  CEO  and  President  Sherry  Surratt  has  a  charge  for  moms:  face  your   fears!  Sherry  uses  stories  from  her  own  mothering  to  demonstrate  how  she  faced  some   of  the  most  common  mom  fears.    An  inspirational  call  to  embrace  this  year’s  MOPS   International  theme,  Sherry  shares  how  to  Be  You,  Bravely.

January  Theme   Abraham  Rescues  Lot

Faith  Word  –  rescue–  to  save  somebody  from  danger  

Family  Faith  Talk  –  Who  rescued  Lot?  How  did  Lot  feel  to  be  saved?  Who  rescues  you  from  sin?   How  does  that  make  you  feel?     Pray  –  Dear  God,  You  sent  Abraham  to  rescue  Lot  just  like  you  sent  Jesus  to  rescue  me!  Thank  you   for  saving  me!

Carly  Turner  

 

Carly  has  a  little  girl  named  Sierra  who  is  22  months  old.   She  has  been  surprised  at  how  forgetful  she  has  become   since  becoming  a  mom.    Her  favorite  free  date  night  is  to   spend  the  evening  playing  board  games.    Her  dream  job   growing  up  was  to  work  outside,  teaching  kids  about   animals  and  nature.  She  hopes  Sierra  learns  kindness   from  her.    Carly  plans  to  put  this  year’s  theme  of  “Being   you,  Bravely”  into  practice  by  being  honest  with  herself   and  others.

Anna  Smith   Anna  was  born  and  raised  in  Georgia  and  moved  to   Grangeville.  She  has  2  little  girls,  ages  4  and  4  ½  months.   Motherhood  showed  her  that  she  can  handle  more  than   she  thought  and  quickly  taught  her  patience.    This  year   she  is  being  brave  by  taking  more  risks  and  not  limiting   herself  to  her  comfort  zone.  Her  mother  is  her  favorite   Brave  woman  and  Anna  hopes  to  endure  the  struggles  of   life  with  the  same  grace  as  her  mother.
