Coaches must highlight participating players on their roster prior to playing in their first game. A team found to be playing with an illegal player will be disqualified from the tournament.

Old business  10 & Under

Runners may only advance one base on an overthrow at 1B. The look-back-rule is in effect. Coaches must use a windmill delivery from the pitching plate when pitching .

Old business  12 & Under Tier II

Teams have the option of pitching by 10U rules until the end of June. A baserunner may steal home on a pick-off play at 3B.

REMINDER: New rule in 2016 Chin straps on batting helmets are optional.

New business  12 & Under Tier I - - Options for the season  (1) Start on May 17, 2017. Qualifier on June 24, 2017. Top half to State on July 8-9, 2017. Season completed. (no fee increase)  (2) Start on June 5, 2017. Play one round. Qualifier on June 24, 2017. Send top half to State. Continue league play to end of July. No ending tournament. (no fee increase)  (3) Start on June 5, 2017. Play one round. No qualifier. Send top half to State. Continue league play to end of July. Season ending tournament. (no fee increase)  (4) Start on June 5, 2017. No qualifier. Send all teams to State. Continue league play to end of July. Season ending tournament. (increase fee by $105/team)  (5) Start on June 5, 2017. No qualifier. Send all teams to State. Continue league play to end of July. No season ending tournament. (no fee increase)

New business  Double Rostering Players  Update wording to include Qualifiers and Season Ending League Tournament(s)

Suggestion: “Each player may only participate in one State Qualifier and/or League Tournament. A player wanting to participate in more than one event must have prior approval from the League Director and the Crow River Fastpitch Board.”

New business  State Qualifier Hosts  Will announce by May 1, 2017  Selections based on # of fields and # of teams.

New business  Fall Ball  We had eight teams comprised of 96 players.  Parents registered their players and paid through our website.  Individual player fee for 2016 was $75.  Fee included shirt, league play, State tournament & State gate fee.  Teams had 11-12 players.  12 players were turned away due to full teams.  Teams were put together based on player position and geographics.  Will get 2017 season information out by the end of June and begin taking registrations in early July. Fall season will begin approximately August 20, 2017 (it is set by MMFL).

New business  2017 Summer League Fees  12 Tier I TBD (currently $390)  14U, 16U & 18U (proposed to stay at $390) (League: balls $40, ASA sanction $15, State $105, Director $50) = $210 (Qualifier: balls $10, medals $15, umpires $80, gate $75) = $180

 12 Tier II & 10U (proposed to stay at $240) (League: balls $40, Director $50, ASA sanction $15) = $105 (Ending tournament: balls $7, medals, $15, umpires $60, gate $50) = $132

New business 2017 USA Softball Northern Nationals  12B – Eau Clair, WI August 2-6, 2017  14B – Mankato, MN August 2-6, 2017  16A – Rochester, MN July 27-30, 2017  16B – Blue Springs, MO July 27-30, 2017  18B - Watertown, WI July 26-30, 2017  The cost is 100% responsibility of the team attending. If you are interested in taking your team let the League Director know as soon as possible to begin paperwork.

CONCUSSION TRAINING Mandated by the State of Minnesota for all coaches, assistant coaches, parent helpers and umpires.
