ABOUT US THE MISSION of PATEADORES ACADEMY IS: Pateadores Academy provides a holistic and challenging learning environment utilizing forward thinking strategies to set the standard for player development in the United States for youth to college/professional.
ABOUT US: Pateadores is a Spanish slang term that means “kickers.” The colors for the Pateadores Soccer Club have been blue and yellow since the inception of the club in 1987. The crest was adopted in 1989 and is outlined in yellow surrounding the blue and white crest. The black swan was added to the crest in 1995. This is to symbolize the club’s unique style of play, which is aggressive, territorial, and graceful. The swan’s segments represent the 4 original founding teams in the club: U19, U17, U16 and U15. The initials at the bottom of the crest, RMO are a tribute to Robert M O’Leary, the original Director and Head Coach of the Pateadores Soccer Club.
DA MISSION The U.S. Soccer Development Academy program provides education, resources, and support to impact everyday club environments in order to develop world-class players. What is the US Soccer Development Academy?
Following a comprehensive review of elite player development in the United States and around the world, U.S. Soccer created the Development Academy in 2007. The Academy Program's philosophy is based on increased training, less total games, and more meaningful games using international rules of competition. The Academy has 150 total clubs, comprised of teams across six age groups: U11/12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-17 and U-19. The Academy Program focuses on positively impacting everyday club environments to assist in maximizing youth player development across the country. The Academy values individual development of elite players over winning trophies and titles. The Academy sets the standard for elite environments for youth soccer clubs nationwide and is a part of U.S. Soccer's global leadership position in youth soccer that will impact thousands of players.
