2017 Earth Day Poster Contest WHO? Any student from Kindergarten through 5th grade is eligible to participate. WHAT? We are looking for posters that celebrate Earth Day! The posters must represent one or more of the following topics: zero waste / ending litter / water savers / energy champions / rock & roll WHEN? April 14 — Posters are due in your school office April 17 & 18 —City staff collects posters April 28 —Contest winners will be announced May 23 — City Council recognition ceremony GUIDELINES: Use ONLY 11” x 17” white/off-white paper. Poster must be original student artwork. Must not contain copyrighted images or otherwise violate any copyright laws. Do not frame or use poster board. Posters will become the property of the City of Sunnyvale and may be displayed on the City’s website and used in other City publications at City’s sole discretion. Posters will be judged based on originality, artwork, message delivery and relevance to the theme. Posters can be full color or black and white, and made with crayon, colored pencil, watercolor, pen, marker, or paint. Please refrain from using glue, adhesives, glitter, etc. as this can be damaging to other posters. Unfortunately, we will not be able to return your entry. POSTER LABELS: (Print neatly, please.)
