World Plumbing Day Poster Contest
Your child is invited to participate in an international poster contest that could win him or her money for the school and the student. World Plumbing Day is an international event on March 11th initiated by the World Plumbing Council (WPC) celebrating the important role plumbing plays in protecting the health and safety of society. Poster entries should be from students in grades 1 through 5.

Must have the words “World Plumbing Day”, the date “March 11” and the current year.
•
The poster must be on a standard-sized sheet of paper. For example, A4 sized paper or US letterhead sized paper.

Poster entries will be judged on how well they relate to the presentation rather than on artistic merit alone.
Prizes •
Small prizes will be provided for the best poster in each class (to be determined by the presenter).

The winning posters will be submitted in an international competition where prizes will be awarded by the World Plumbing Council: 1st Prize: US$1,000 to the school and US$100 to the student 2nd Prize: US$500 to the school and US$50 to the student 3rd prize: US$250 to the school and US$25 to the student
WORLD PLUMBING DAY POSTER CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES (TERMS & CONDITIONS) 1. Eligible entrants, residents of any country, will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders during the contest period. Employees, consultants, agents and directors of the World Plumbing Council, and the immediate family of the foregoing are not eligible. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the sponsors, which are final and binding in all respects. 2. No Purchase or Payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win the contest. 3. CONTEST PERIOD Contest period begins 1 January each year and ends on 30 March at 11:59pm (Pacific Time). At the end of this period, the winners will be selected. 4. ENTRY ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON IS PERMITTED. You will be entered if you submit one poster with the student’s, Cub Scout Group or other community organization member’s name, grade level and/or age, teacher’s or Team Leaders name, school or group name and school or group address. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegible or postage due entries, email or mail; or for any computer, telephone, cable, network, satellite, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability or garbled or jumbled transmissions, or service provider/Internet/web site/use net accessibility or availability, traffic congestion, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture any such information. 5. DRAWING A panel of judges, none of whom are related to the eligible entrants, will select the winners of the prize money. The selection will take place no later than 30 April. The winners will be notified within five (5) working days. The judging will be based on how well they relate to the presentation rather than on artistic merit alone. 6. GENERAL CONDITIONS Winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release within 15 days of notification. Failure to return documents in a timely fashion, or if prize notification or prize is returned as nondeliverable, or if winner is found not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, or otherwise ineligible, disqualification may result with an alternate winner selected. Further, by accepting a prize, the winners, and their parents, release and agree to hold harmless the World Plumbing Council, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest related activity, or participation in this contest. Void where prohibited. The World Plumbing Council reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the
operation of the contest or web site; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the web site, to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. 7. WINNERS LIST Winners’ first and last names, school names, Cub Scout Group or other, and countries of residence will be posted at the World Plumbing Day web site. 8. The Sponsor of the contest is the World Plumbing Council.
