Baseball, Softball and Tee Ball Registration Now Open for the 2017 Season for Boys and Girls Ages 3 and up Huron Valley Youth Baseball and Softball League (HVYBSL) is a volunteer parent based nonprofit organization. HVYBSL strives to provide a premier comprehensive youth baseball and softball experience including full uniforms, equipment, umpires, maintained fields, parades, opening day, all star games, championship games, concessions stands, trophies and more.
We are currently accepting volunteer coach applications for all age divisions! Registration Information The Guaranteed Registration deadline is January 31, 2017. After that date, late registrations may continue until all teams fill. There is no certainty of being placed on a team after that date. A $25 late registration fee will be added after 1/31/2017. PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING REGISTRATIONS THROUGH HURON VALLEY RECREATION AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION. REGISTER DIRECTLY AT WWW.HVYBSL.COM. Practice / game information - Practices will be held 2 times per week (see below for practice days by division) - Practices usually alternate between 5:00-6:30 and 6:30-8:00 on weeknights. - Games will take the place of practices (on the same nights) once games begin. - Games typically are 2 times per week - some Saturday games will be scheduled. - Games are typically at 6:30 pm on weekdays. - Once games begin, additional optional practices can be called by individual coaches. Boys House Baseball Ages 7-19 (Age as of 4-30-2017) Season: March 27- June 18 Division Days of Play Fee Rookie: Age 7/8 Mon/Wed/Sat $150 Minors: Age 9/10 Tue/Thu/Sat $160 Majors: Age 11/12 Mon/Wed/Sat $180 *Babe Ruth: Age 13/14 Tue/Thu/Sat $190 *Information for ages 15+ will be available in the spring. Girls House Softball Ages 7-12 (Age as of 12-31-2016) Season: March 27- June 18 Division Days of Play Fee Juniors: Age 7-9 Mon/Wed/Sat $150 Seniors: Age 10-12 Tue/Thu/Sat $160 Fundamentals Ages 3-6 (Girls – Age as of 12/31/2016) Season: April 12 – June 18 (Boys – Age as of 4/30/2017) Division Days of play Fee Tee-ball: Ages 3-4 M/W/Sat $85 Machine Pitch: Ages 5-6 T/Th/Sat $100 Guaranteed registration is extended to February 28th for Instructional Ball.
Family Volunteer Requirements The quality of our program is directly dependent on the quality and quantity of parent volunteer involvement. We have many ways for you to contribute and volunteer! Please visit the website for all the current opportunities and needs. Each family is expected to volunteer in the concessions stand during the season once per child. A $100 deposit per family will be collected to be returned upon completion of volunteer time or cashed as an option to “opt out”. (Coaches, scorekeepers, and committee members are exempt from providing a deposit.) Further details are listed on the league website. By registering your child, you agree to abide by the Parent Responsibilities Guidelines and the Volunteerism Policy, both found on the league website.
Locations: Practices/games are played at HV schools or Community fields located within the district. Our primary locations are Highland Elementary, Duck Lake Pines, Johnson Elementary, Muir Middle School and Janowski Park fields. How to Register: Register online at www.hvybsl.com. You may also print a registration form from the website and mail with a check (address and instructions on form). THERE IS NO LEAGUE INFORMATION OR REGISTRATIONS VIA HURON VALLEY RECREATION & COMMUNITY EDUCATION DEPARTMENT.
