The Admirals Hockey Club and the Center Ice Skating Academy have developed a 3 step program that will prepare skaters for the exciting game of ice hockey. Skaters will first learn how to skate in order to master correct skating technique, and will then move on to learning hockey skills and drills. Together, these aspects will give skaters the proper foundation so that they are able to make a smooth transition to a hockey team.

Hockey Alpha 1 (ages 5-13) Spring 2: $140 Summer: $120
Skaters without previous formal instruction Will learn one foot glides, forward and backward swizzles, forward stride, backward wiggles, and crossover walks

Pre-Hockey is a one day a week program to prepare beginners for the game of hockey. Players will learn skating techniques and the basics of hockey.
The 8U Mite Selects program is a two day a week program for players at the 8U age level. This program assists our hockey players in advancing their skating and hockey skills. They will have weekly skills practices and Small Area Games. Practices will consist of edge/stride work, stick handling, passing, shooting, and game situations. Small Area Games will be a part of every practice.
Prerequisite: Skaters should have passed Hockey Alpha 1 in Skating Academy Hockey Development classes or have instructor/director permission.
