Englewood Public School District 2017 SUMMER LANGUAGE INSTITUTE- (GRADES 1-6) Students must register at their current grade level. Current grade level is student’s grade as of May 2017. DATES, TIME & LOCATION: Dr. John Grieco Elementary School June 28th - July 28th, 2017 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM Free/ Reduced Breakfast/ Lunch will be made available for students who qualify
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS Spanish Language Immersion The foreign language elementary school (FLES) summer program is designed for students currently enrolled in the Dual Language or Spanish World Languages Program. Students will be immersed solely in the second language (Spanish) and guided to further develop their academic skills through the use of exploratory interdisciplinary units of instruction as well as fun cross cultural and linguistically rich project-based lessons. Mandarin-Chinese Language Immersion The summer program is designed for students currently enrolled in the Mandarin- Chinese Immersion Program as well as students interested in experiencing/ participating in the 2017-2018 Mandarin Immersion program. Students will be immersed solely in the second language (Mandarin) and guided to further develop their academic skills through the use of exploratory interdisciplinary units of instruction as well as fun cross cultural and linguistically rich project-based lessons.

Both the payment and registration forms must be completed no later than June 1, 2017.
