2017 Zambia Mission Trip When: July 9 – July 15 (July 18 for optional Victoria Falls trip) Where: Ndola, Zambia Cost: $4,000 (includes flights); Optional Victoria Falls 3 day trip: $1,500 Maximum Participants: 20 Travel: Approximately 24 hours of flying – bring some good books. Local buses to take you to your mission team worksite The Mission: While partnering with students and staff of Northrise University, you can serve the people of Ndola in one of the following mission work teams: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6)
Vacation Bible School with orphaned children Street Evangelism Womens’ Conference Medical/Dental Care Construction & Farming Pastoral Training
Payment Dates: $500 Deposit March 1st. $1,000 in account by April 1st. $2,000 in account by May 1st. $4,000 in account by June 1st.
Who will be leading the Adult Team? 1) Dan Gwaltney 2) Dr. Moffet Zimba, President, Northrise University Where we will stay: We are staying in local hotels in downtown Ndola. What we will eat: During the week, we will eat in the Northrise University cafeteria alongside our fellow team members. Meals will include some the of the best free-range chicken you’ll eat and Northrise bananas! Water: Water will be provided Northise and will be safe to drink. Shots: Shots are required for this trip and include Hepatitis A & B, Yellow Fever. Malaria vaccination is recommended. Passport: Please get your passport immediately. It is estimated to take 4 to 6 weeks. Procrastination puts unneeded pressure on the planning for this trip. If you already have a passport, make sure it is valid until February 2018. PLEASE GET YOUR PASSPORT IMMEDIATELY.
Sightseeing: You will have a chance to see the city of Ndola. At the end of the week, you may join the optional tour to Victoria Falls to see the beauty of Africa and enjoy a photo safari.
