2018 Boys Soccer Parent Meeting

Grades

• Must be academically eligible • •

No more than 1 failing grade. No more than 2 grades Below C.

• 1st Semester grades and any behavioral

issues will be considered during tryouts.

• Any grades below C will require after-

school study hall until grade is brought up. Player will still be eligible to practice and play, but starting position may be compromised for practice time missed.

Preseason Conditioning •

Seniors Running Workouts every day from 2:45-4:15 Focus on technique and mental conditioning. Take time off before the season starts. If you regularly can not make these practices due to conflicts (work, other activities, etc), you may need to reconsider

Recruitment

• Team Managers – 8 (5 currently committed)

• Work for ½ shifts. • •

Setup and warm-ups Small-sided games and cleanup.

• Volunteer Hours Earned

• Ball Boys/Girls • Younger siblings (Prizes to those who work the most) • Varsity players work one JV game • JV players work one Varsity game

• Fans • Students: • Support other organizations such as orchestra,

theatre, and chorus as well as other Winter sports.

• Family: • Come support other teams (Varsity/JV). Come early for the girls, stay late for the boys.

Tryouts

• Monday, January 15th (MLK Day) • Mid-Morning: 9th and 10th Graders • Early Afternoon: 11th and 12th Graders. • Tuesday – Wednesday: 2:45-5:00 • No GSP Fees • Cuts starting day 1. • Look-fors • • •
