It is the start of a new year for Kiwanis Key leader and our 14th season of bringing service leadership to the students of the world!!!. From the inception in 2005, Kiwanis Key Leader has served almost 30,000 participants in nearly 600 events in 40 US states, 7 Canadian provinces, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Caymen Islands and El Salvador This success is only possible through hard work to bring Key Leaders to our area. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Students’ lives are changed forever!

WHO? Key Leader is designed to open doors to all student leaders and those with leadership potential. The main focus is to serve students from 14 to 17 years of age.
Key Leader is a Weekend LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE for today’s youth leaders and future leaders.
The FIVE Key Principles explored during the weekend are: Integrity Respect Growth Community Excellence
WHAT? The program focuses on Service Leadership. A Key Leader will learn the most important lesson of leadership: Leadership comes from helping others succeed.
Cost: $250 per student ($225 for Key Club Members) Limited financial assistance may be available.
MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A ‘LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE THAT INSPIRES YOUNG PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL BEST THROUGH SERVICE LEADERSHIP.”
SUPERVISION?
AGENDA:
A professional facilitator who brings excellent experience working with youth, and has successfully completed a training course on the curriculum, will lead the weekend. Trained adult volunteers coordinate the logistics and supervision of the youth attendees. Kiwanis International completes a limited criminal history background check on all adults present for the weekend.
Students arrive between 4-6 pm on Friday. *** NO LATE ARRIVALS *** You will depart after 11:30 am on Sunday. Lodging, meals and activities are all located at the camp. Students participate in large and small activities, with a combination of information, discussion, and interactive events. There will be lots of fun and new friends.
Chaperones are asked to consider donating $100 to the District for Key Leader.
HOW DO YOU REGISTER FOR THE WEEKEND? Go to www.key-leader.org and click on the REGISTER button. Students and adults attending a Key Leader weekend complete a form with basic information. They also need to list a Nominator (the adult or organization that is paying their fee.) After completing the form, the registration can be completed with check or credit card.
