2018 STATE OFFICER CANDIDATE WORKSHOP Registration Deadline: January 12, 2018

EVENT PURPOSE

EVENT INFORMATION

This workshop is not designed to coach a student through the process; however, it is designed to help them understand how the process works, highlight any changes in the process, and also the expectations of state officers.

The information session is designed for high school Juniors and Seniors who are considering running for State Office.

Attendance at this workshop is not mandatory and potential candidates who cannot attend will not be penalized in any way. All printed information shared at the workshop will be made available online following the workshop.

Please make a special effort to make sure that your candidate receives this information in a timely manner so that their application can be received by the deadline. •  

Business casual dress is appropriate.

Students may wish to bring materials to take notes, however, no other materials will be necessary. No student will be permitted to attend without their advisor or school district approved chaperone

There are no restrictions on the number of students from your chapter who may attend

There are NO REFUNDS or cancellations within 48 hours of the conference

ADVISOR ATTENDANCE POLICY Florida FFA maintains a strict policy regarding advisor attendance at all events. Our policy requires that the FFA Advisor or a school district approved chaperone be present at each event. In the event that anyone other than the FFA Advisor attends in place of the advisor, a letter of approval must be obtained from the school principal and should be presented at the time of arrival.
