NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION INCENDO’S “GIRL’S NIGHT OUT” FINALIST FOR BEST TV MOVIE AT THE C21 INTERNATIONAL DRAMA AWARDS Montreal, November 10th, 2018 – Incendo, the Canadian leader in television production and distribution, is proud to announce that GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT, starring Mackenzie Mauzy (Into the Woods; Manson’s Lost Girls; Forever), is a 2017 C21 International Drama Awards finalist for Best TV Movie. Shot on location in Montreal, the movie was directed by Philippe Gagnon, written by Lisa Steele and co-stars Canadian talents Jacob Blair, Kelly Kruger, Hannah Anderson and Katherine Barrell. Jean Bureau and Ian Whitehead produced the film and the Executive Producer is Jean Bureau. Judged by over 100 of the world’s leading drama commissioners, C21’s International Drama Awards finalists reflect the last 12 months’ prolific drama output, with 572 entries across 11 categories. The winners will be announced during C21’s International Drama Summit at Kings Place, London on the evening of Wednesday November 29th. “Girls’ Night Out is a dark thriller that resonates with survivors of sexual abuse and focuses on the importance of victims coming forward.” explains Jean Bureau, President & CEO of Incendo. GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT - McKenzie is a few months away from getting married when her three best friends from college surprise her with a bachelorette party. What they promised would be the best night of her life turns into a night of terror. McKenzie is forced to reckon with Brandon, her ex-boyfriend who date-raped her in college and who kidnaps her fiancé to get even with McKenzie for destroying his reputation and ruining his chance of making it in the NHL. Brandon sends McKenzie and her friends on a deadly scavenger hunt requiring them to perform extreme versions of the hazing stunts they performed back in college. McKenzie must confront the traumatic events of her past that she has tried so hard to forget and wonders if she’ll be able to do what it takes to save her fiancé and her future.
