THE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS ACT 2005, (ACT NO. 36 OF 2005) AS AMENDED
APPLICATIONS FOR RADIO FREQUENCY SPECTRUM LICENCES BY POWER FM 98.9 (PTY) LTD. 1.
The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa ("the Authority'), in terms of section 31(4) of the Electronic Communications Act (Act No. 36 of 2005) as amended, read with Regulation 8 of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations, 2011 (Government Gazette No. 34172 of 3 March 2011) and
sections 3 and 4 of Promotion of Administrative Justice Act (Act No. 3 of 2000) as amended
,
hereby gives notice that it has received applications from
Power FM (Pty) Ltd for the frequency channels listed in annexure A of this notice.
2. Power FM seeks to optimise its radio coverage within its licensed service area of Gauteng by addition of three transmitter sites. The technical specifications of the proposed licences are set out in annexure A. 3. Interested parties are invited to submit written representations in relation to the applications within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of publication of this notice to the Authority. 4. The application, relevant schedule and any representations received pursuant thereto would be made available and be open for inspection by interested
