Accountability & Your Faculty Advisor Per Delta Chi Law, each chapter and colony is now required to have a Faculty Advisor: • “Each undergraduate chapter shall have a … Faculty Advisor… to be in good standing.” (Bylaws, Article VII, Section 5, Subsection (2))

• What are some functions your Faculty Advisor can provide in keeping members accountable?

Delta Chi Law Changes Effective July 1, 2013, as approved by the 58th International Convention: • No man may be initiated unless he has a 2.5 GPA in all college coursework or a 2.75 if he has not completed any college coursework. (Constitution, Article V, Section 2) • Chapter officers may not have a GPA lower than a 2.65 during the term prior or on a cumulative basis to hold office. (Bylaws, Article VII, Section 2, Subsection (2))

Delta Chi Law Changes Effective July 1, 2013; as approved by the 58th International Convention: • Each chapter shall have a minimum cumulative GPA at or above the all-men’s or all-fraternity GPA, whichever is higher, but no lower than a 2.5 (By Laws, Article VII, Section 5, Subsection (2))

• The term “cumulative” refers to the total (or cumulative) term GPA of all members for the most recent term, not the total of each member’s cumulative GPA.

Delta Chi Law Changes Grade Verification Form • Every chapter/colony has to submit a grade verification form showing that the men who are to be initiated have met the required grade standard. • Must be signed by the campus fraternity advisor and chapter/colony “BB”. • Failure to submit this form will result in a $50 per man fine. • Contact Debra Bilskemper at Headquarters if you need a copy of this form- 319-341-3131.
