AARP Safe Driving Class
Saturday, September 14th 10:00-4:30 Taught by: Lori White Cost: $17 for AARP members, $19 for non-members A Special AARP safe driving class will be offered at Sew Nice on September 14th. The six hour class will start at 10:00 and end at 4:30pm. This class is open to all ages. Lunch will be a half hour long and snacks will be provided during the two breaks. The class is still a bargain at $17 for AARP member and $19 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to AARP and a NYS driver’s license is required for this class. Twisted Christmas
Thursday, September 26th and October 3rd 10:30-2:30 or Thursday, September 26th and October 3rd 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Donna Hanley Cost: $35.00 + Lil’ Twister Ruler + supplies Let’s get your Twister ready for Christmas. What a great way to decorate for Christmas. This wall hanging finishes at 35” x 45” and will a great addition to your Holiday decorations. If you haven’t tried a project using the Twister tools, this is a good place to start. And if you have done projects with the Twister tools this is a great way to continue having fun with these rulers. Donna has decorated her tree with decorative stitching for the garland and she has applied crystals to give the tree a sparkle effect. The packages at the bottom have ribbons attached to give the wall hanging a more realistic look. This class will be given in 2 parts - class 1 will be making your foundation squares and class 2 will be cutting the “twists” and sewing them to form the tree. For the beginner and beyond.
Hot Bowl Hot Pad
Thursday. September 19th 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Peggy Jeffrey Cost: $20.00 + pattern + supplies Do you use your microwave to heat up leftovers? Then this is the class for you. These great bowl hot pads hold your bowl while it is in the microwave and then you have a hot pad around the bowl to take the dish out without burning your fingers. You can also make a splatter cover with a vinyl backing to put over your bowl to help keep your microwave clean. For the beginner and beyond.
