Tuesday, 16th May 2017 Dear Parent / Guardian I am writing to inform you of the details for the final week of term (Activity Week) for all Year 7 pupils. As part of this week all Year 7 pupils will have the opportunity to try a range of sports, learn orienteering, take part in an orienteering competition, and spend a day at Lightwater Valley on Thursday 20th July 2017. The cost of all of these activities is £25. This includes transport and entry to Lightwater Valley. Further details of what is required in terms of clothing, packed lunch, times etc will be produced nearer the time as some of the events, other than Lightwater Valley, will be weather dependant. Payment for activity week should be made via our online payment system ParentPay, by Friday 23rd June 2017. Details of this service can be found on our school website under the ‘Parents’ section: http://realsmart.stthomasmore.org.uk/parent-pay/. If you haven’t registered for this service, please email your child’s full name and pastoral class to:
[email protected], with the subject line ‘ParentPay’ and you will be emailed a username and password within 2 working days. If you are unable to use ParentPay, payment may be made by cash using the Paypoint network at participating local convenience stores. In order to pay by this method you will need a Paypoint barcode letter, which is unique to every pupil and trip, from the Finance Office. Please contact the school Finance Office who will arrange this for you. At St Thomas More Catholic School we have built up a tradition of having well organised and well supported visits, trips and activities for pupils of all ages. I remind you that at this time of year we have several other activities taking place, which require the full attendance of all pupils. Please be aware that all pupils who are in receipt of free school meals, or are LAC, will have activity week paid for, however parents / guardians will still be required to complete and return the below Consent Form. We will finish the term with our End of Year Service of Celebration and presentation of Merit Awards on Friday 21st July 2017. It is important that all of these activities are given maximum support by all pupils. I remind you that if you do not wish your son /daughter to participate in the school visit to Lightwater Valley then they must attend school as normal. I would hope that you would continue to support the school in its efforts to provide as varied a range of activities as possible for our children throughout the year, by ensuring that your son/daughter attends every session right up until the end of term. Thank you for your co-operation
