The Museum makes available, on a rental basis, the use of its magnificent architectural spaces and galleries. Renowned for its collections which span more than fifty centuries, the Museum features must-see masterpieces spanning the globe. Your guests will enjoy a one of a kind wedding experience amidst a world class collection as you hold your historic event. A Renaissance Court wedding includes access for your guests to all the Museum galleries surrounding the first level of the Renaissance Court. Wedding receptions with the ceremony held off site may begin at 5pm and wedding ceremonies at the museum may begin at 5:30pm. Wedding ceremonies may take place in the Renaissance Court on the Grand Staircase, the garden Courtyard or in the romantic Chapter House. The Museum provides a list of approved caterers whom have extensive experience with the Museum’s spaces and present delectable and artfully displayed cuisine. All service arrangements are made directly with your caterer of choice from our list. Wedding ceremonies may be held within the regal setting of the Renaissance Court on the Grand Staircase. For warmer weather months you may utilize the setting of the Stoddard Garden Courtyard for the ceremony. Smaller wedding ceremonies of 70 or less guests may use the romantic setting of the Chapter House which is part of the Renaissance Court. CAPACITY:

CEREMONY FEE: $500
The wedding ceremony fee is in addition to the venue fee. The ceremony fee includes a wedding rehearsal held during the Museum’s public hours; Wednesday through Friday, additional ½ hour of event time, use of the Steinway Grand Piano (within the Renaissance Court) and onsite wedding coordinator dedicated to all the details of your ceremony and reception. Wedding ceremonies may begin at 5:30pm or later (time printed on your wedding invitation) Event rental time will begin fifteen minutes prior to your printed ceremony time to allow for guests arrival. All events must conclude by midnight and are capped at 5 ½ hours including the ceremony time.
VENUE AVAILABILITY FOR WEDDING RECEPTIONS (Ceremony held off site)
Wedding Receptions may begin at 5pm or later. All events must conclude by midnight and are capped at 5 hours. Venue fees include Museum Protective Services, set up of Museum and or rental furniture and a Museum event facilitator. Rental of the Renaissance Court includes 140 chairs for indoor usage and standard tables within Museum inventory. The Museum Café includes guest tables (high tops not included) and chairs for up to 80 guests. ADDITIONAL FEES
Wedding ceremonies on site typically require additional chairs to be rented if your number of guests is greater than 70. Wedding ceremonies in the outdoor Stoddard Garden Court require rental of a complete set of chairs. Self-provided rentals are not permitted. Rental delivery charge, if applicable, is $45. Venue fees and any rental furniture are subject to 7% State and local tax. REHEARSAL DINNER
Enjoy the convenience of having your rehearsal dinner in the Museum Cafe after your ceremony rehearsal. Special venue fee applicable, ask for details. PHOTO ENGAGEMENT SESSION
After you said yes... Enjoy a complimentary photo engagement session at the museum as part of your overall wedding experience. Find the perfect light and angles in a once in a lifetime setting. BEVERAGE SERVICE The Worcester Art Museum holds an all alcoholic liquor license and as such will provide and service all beverages for your event. You may choose a cash bar or a hosted bar in which you are responsible for your guests’ consumption. If a host bar is selected a deposit will be collected in advance towards your bar. Any remainder over the original estimate collected is to be paid that evening by credit card or cash. Refunds are made if sales are less than the deposit collected. For a hosted bar beverages are charged by the drink. An 18% administrative charge and 7% State and local tax are added to all hosted bar sales. Bar service will conclude ½ hour before the end of a four or five hour event. Alcohol may not be served on Sundays before 11:00am. One bartender per hundred guests is included at no charge for a four or five hour rental of the Renaissance Court. (Non-alcoholic bars excluded) Two bartenders are included for parties over 100 guests. For events in the Museum Café or non-alcoholic events there will be a bartender fee. The charge is $30 per hour of event plus two hours total for set up and breakdown per bartender with a minimum charge of $150. Bar service includes plastic drink ware. If you prefer, glass barware is available through the caterer.
WINE SERVICE
Our wine list is available if you would like to offer wine to your guests during dinner. Wine will be offered to your guests after the first course and again when the entrée has been served. Wine bottles are not placed on the table. Wine is charged by the bottle price based on the number of bottles you selected to order.
CHAMPAGNE TOAST
A champagne toast can be provided for $3.50 per person. Matching stem glassware would need to be provided by the caterer. All alcoholic beverages must be provided by the Worcester Art Museum. The Museum emphasizes responsible use of alcohol and reserves the right to deny service if it is the opinion of the staff that too much alcohol has been consumed. Proper age identification must be provided for service. No unused portions of liquor, beer, or wine may be taken from the premises. No beverages of any kind may be taken into gallery areas. Red and Rose wine may only be served in the Museum Cafe due to the delicate nature of the Museum collection. No form of alcoholic beverages may be given as favors unless at the conclusion of an event. Bartender charges when applicable are subject to tax.
