AR&P Overview

AFOL Relations & Programs Overview Event Support – Event Support provides an opportunity to obtain support in the form of LEGO® sets, Play brick boxes and Activity boxes. The support is meant to show appreciation, compensate, and reward RLUG members for their efforts at events with a minimum of 10 participating RLUG members and 500 public visitors. Please read the Event Support program for further details.

HUB Event program - The intent of the HUB Event program is to grow existing events with the required potential, into international HUB events through raising the level of attractiveness and increasing participation from the AFOL community as well as the LEGO Group. The support given through this program is a reoccurring support to help grow the HUB event. Please read the HUB Event program for further details.

Project Support – Project Support aims to facilitate a unique project at the request of an RLUG. Support provided is the ability to purchase discounted LEGO elements in bulk. Please read the Project Support program for further details.

Award Support – Award Support provides an opportunity to apply for a maximum of 50.000,DKK to support an activity, development project, equipment or other that will be of value to the broader AFOL community. Please read the Award Support program for further details.

Online Support – The intention with the Online RLUG Support is to stimulate and show appreciation towards the Online RLUGs that are creating value to and having impact on the AFOL community by providing activities that are meaningful and of interest to the general AFOL community. The support offered is meant to stimulate the Online RLUG activities and drive strong AFOL-oriented content. Please read the Online Support program for further details

LUGBULK – Once per year, an RLUG can sign up for LUGBULK. This provides RLUG members with the opportunity to buy bulk LEGO® elements. Please read the LUGBULK program for further details.

Annual RLUG Support – Based on the input from the annual activity report that the RLUG is required to reply to once per year, Annual RLUG Support is provided to the RLUG, to support the RLUG activities throughout the year. Please read the Annual RLUG Support program for further details.

LCE | LEGO Community Engagement Used to be Community Engagement & Events (CEE) department, but recently changed name to emphasize focus on community engagement. Tormod Askildsen heads up the LCE department, which houses the AFOL Relations & Programs team and the Open Innovation team. The AR&P team focuses its efforts towards the recognized LEGO User Groups and the Open Innovation team drives initiatives like LEGO Rebrick and LEGO Ideas.

AR&P | AFOL Relations & Programs Used to be the Community Support team, but recentll changed name to the AFOL Relations & Programs team to properly reflect actual purpose and workscope. The team is headed up by Tanja Friberg and has 3 Community Managers supporting the physical RLUGs globally and 1 Ass. Community Manager supporting the online RLUGs. Furthermore the team has a Community Operations Specialist handling the ordering and shipping of support plus the LUGBULK program.

Other LCE members The LCE department also has Yun Mi Antorini our Value Creation Strategist and a Participation Technology Strategist.

AR&P Overview

List of used abbreviations: LCE LEGO Community Engagement, the department in which AFOL Relations & Programs is one of the teams. AR&P AFOL Relations & Programs, the team engaging recognized LEGO User Groups globally and running various other programs such as the LEGO Certified Professionals. LCP LEGO Certified Professional, a group of certified professionals. AFOL Adult Fan of LEGO, a fan community created name for adult LEGO fans that is used by both the LEGO Group and the fan community. TFOL Teenage Fan of LEGO, another fan community created name, this one for the teenage fans. LUG LEGO User Group, a term created by the fan community. Everyone can form a LUG but it does not necessarily result in recognition and support from the LEGO Group. RLUG Recognized LEGO User Group, term used by the LEGO Group to identify LUGs that have been officially recognized and therefore included in the LEGO Ambassador Network and given access to various programs. LAN The LEGO Ambassador Network, the platform and community in which the RLUG Ambassador engages with other RLUG Ambassadors and the AFOL Relations & Programs team. RLUG Ambassador The point of contact between the recognized LEGO User Group and the AFOL Relations & Programs team. Handles all applications and communication. RLUG Member Recognized LEGO User Group Member, a definition used by the LEGO Group to identify the RLUG members aged 13+. LUGBULK The LEGO User Group Bulk Order Program, one of the programs run by AR&P.
