News Release After a summer of discovery, students to share their findings 10/12/09 SOUTHEAST HOUSTON – Houston Community College Southeast and the Baylor College of Medicine are proud to present the first annual Science Internship Symposium, November 6, 2009. The Symposium represents the culmination of the Summer Science Internship Program, a 10-week collaboration between the two colleges that placed several Houston Community College students at the forefront of medical research. Following a welcome breakfast and a special introduction from the Southeast College president Irene Porcarello and program administrators Dr. Mahtash Moussavi and Dr. Steven Ressler, the students will each make a multimedia presentation sharing their exciting experiences and elaborating on illuminating findings in fields such as pre-natal science and cancer research. HCC Southeast and the Baylor College of Medicine are very proud to present this event as a celebration and recognition of the power of young people to make profound contributions to their society when given the opportunity.
