Students share their favorite memories of teachers

I

t’s that time of the year again. The time when a myriad of “thank you”’s are exchanged, when teachers smile brighter while giving their lectures. That’s right folks, Teacher’s Appreciation Week is right around the corner. Between May 1 and May 5, remember to say “thank you” to your teachers, and perhaps even give them a little gift. In honor of the week, I interviewed a few students and asked them to share some of their favorite memories with their favorite teachers. From freshmen to seniors, it seems like students all had many wonderful memories to share, and I often got the response, “There are a lot… Can I get back to you on that?” Personally, I was unable to select a favorite memory myself, as there are many that I cherish and many teachers whom I love. Here are some of the cutest responses from people regarding their favorite teacher and memory:

Sara Morehous:

Favorite teacher: Mr. Burke Memory: “When it was his birthday and he got a new cardboard cutout of Taft and was completely elated”

Anna Cate Meis :

Favorite teacher: V Rob. Memory: “I love V. Rob because she always made me laugh and helped me understand math so much more. My favorite memory is when we made pi shirts for Pi Day freshman year”

David Keller:

Favorite teacher: Mrs. Riggins Memory: “There are so many! She tells a lot of interesting stories- I can’t exactly pick a favorite memory”
