RECOMMENDATION Adopt a resolution of the City Council authorizing the City Manager to submit FTA 5311 Regional Apportionment grant application and execute a Grant Agreement on behalf of the City of Eureka for capital/operating assistance for Eureka Transit Service for Fiscal Years 2017-18 and 2018-2019. COUNCIL GOALS/STRATEGIC VISION Livable and Sustainable Community Financially Sound City Providing Effective Services DISCUSSION The City of Eureka has the opportunity to submit a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant application to be used for capital/operating assistance projects for Eureka Transit Service. Humboldt County Association of Governments (HCAOG) has included in its Program of Projects for the City of Eureka an allocation in the amount of $200,000 for FY2017-18 and $196,769 for FY2018-19. The application requires a City Council resolution authorizing such application. This recommended authorization will also allow the City Manager to be designated as the position responsible to submit the application and execute the agreement. REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY:
