[email protected] AgGateway Recognizes Leaders at 2015 Annual Conference Lori Edwards of Syngenta Receives Top Leadership Award Washington, D.C., November 16, 2015 – At its annual conference last week, AgGateway honored individuals and companies that are advancing efforts to promote, enable and expand eAgriculture. Lori Edwards, Business Process Analyst Manager at Syngenta, was honored with the AgGateway Ron Storms Leadership Award, the organization's top leadership award. The award recognizes outstanding efforts by an AgGateway volunteer member in promoting collaboration among AgGateway teams and advancing initiatives to enable eAgriculture. In presenting the award, former Ron Storms recipient Andres Ferreyra of Ag Connections Inc., described Edwards as a strong ambassador for the AgGateway mission to expand eBusiness, and as someone who focuses on open discussion, collaboration and solutions in getting work accomplished. “She has brought great experience and perspective in many areas, working diligently on behalf of her company but also for the industry as a whole,” Ferreyra said. Edwards is the incoming chair of the organization’s Crop Protection Council. In the past seven years she also has served on the Management Team, as chair of the Seed Council and chair of
the Standards & Guidelines Committee, and in many other leadership roles in moving connectivity projects forward and improving connectivity resources for the ag industry. Nominations for the Ron Storms Leadership Award are made each year by AgGateway members and judged by previous award winners. The award is named for Ron Storms, who was an early leader and proponent of electronic connectivity in agriculture. AgGateway also launched the AgGateway in Action Awards at the conference. Recipients were chosen by the leadership within the various council segments that comprise the organization, recognizing individuals who have moved efforts forward in 2015 on eAgriculture activities. The winners include:
Joe Tevis, Director, Agronomic Products and Services, TopCon, presented by the Precision Ag Council
Charlie Nuzzolo, Managing Director, North America, F4F, presented by both the Allied Providers Council and Ag Retailers Council
Seth Petersen, eCommerce Administrator, Wilbur-Ellis, presented by the Crop Protection Council
Pam Rincker, President, Software Solutions Integrated, presented by the Grain & Feed Council

AgGateway celebrated its 10-year anniversary at the annual conference. As part of new programs launched at the conference, the organization is adopting the term “eAgriculture” to signify the growing breadth of electronic connectivity in the ag industry.
