When we have a system of equations we can solve the system. The answers we get are the points of intersection of the graphs of the equations.
Solve the system:
We will use problem solving techniques learned in Algebra 1.

Set one equation equal to y.

Multiply through by x to remove the denominator.
Substitute into your other equation.

Set the equation equal to zero.
Solving Quadratic Systems Set each part equal to zero to find the solutions.
Factor the equation.
