Unit 1: All About God
All About God: Does God Know All Things? ______________________________________________________________________________________
Q: Does God know all things? A: Yes. Nothing can be hidden from God. ______________________________________________________________________________________
Memory Verse: “For his eyes are on the ways of a man, and he sees all his steps.” - Job 34:21
Bible Reading: • “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” - Isaiah 42:9 • “In [Christ] whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” - Colossians 2:3 • Psalm 139:1-8 O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! 110

Unit 1: All About God
Discussion Questions: • Do you know everything? • Why can’t we know everything? • What does God know about you? • Is there anything that God does not know? • Can anything be hidden from Him?
Devotion: Think of the smartest person you know. Someone you go to when you want to know the answer to a question. They know a lot, right? God knows more than anyone! He knows everything about everyone. Nothing in the past, nothing in the future, and nothing that is happening right now, anywhere in the world, can be hidden from God. It is all spread out before Him. There are no secrets from God, because He knows our thoughts before we have them! God is the only one who knows everything all the time, therefore He is the one we should go to when we desire knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. He is the source of all truth! When you are confused about something or have a big question, pray for God to give you wisdom and He will! Ask your parents to help you search God’s word for understanding on the issue. How does it make you feel knowing that God knows everything? It can be a hard truth to accept when we are disobeying Him or hiding things from Him. However, it is a great comfort when we are following His ways and being open with Him about our struggles. It’s also wonderful to know that we don’t have to worry about the future because He already knows what’s going to happen!
Crafts/Activities: • Hard Questions: Play a game with the kids, asking them questions and giving them a reward of some kind (treat, sticker, etc.) when they answer it right. Ask a set of pre-determined questions that are impossible for them to answer. Before they get too discouraged, explain that while we can’t possibly know the answer to every question, God does! Then give them all a reward.

Unit 1: All About God
• Brainstorm Questions: After the previous activity, brainstorm with the kids the hardest questions they can think of that God already knows the answer to. Perhaps allow them to quiz Dad when he gets home! • Fill empty boxes/bags with different objects: Revisit this activity from the Can You See God? lesson. This time, focus on how God knows the contents of every bag. He knows everything, including the thoughts in our minds and all the hidden secrets of the world. God is never surprised by anything.
